Test Area C - Shakti-2? - 11 May 1998

A test area, not evidently associated with a particular test, is documented in a series of five photographs. These images depict what is apparently the edge of the subsidence crater of an underground nuclear test. In contrast to the reported Shakti-1 test area, this test area appears remarkably free of debris associated with above-ground diagnostics. It might be conjectured that this site is the locale of the Skakti-2 test of a fission device.
