Although it is not immediately possible to associate specific major North Korean military facilities with the indicated chemical weapons storage site locations on the CW site maps published by the South Korean government, it would appear that one of these sites located near the Kadong airfield is also in very close proximity to Onjong-ni, and may represent the same facility.
A large-scale underground germ research institute is reportedly located in Songch'on County, South P'yongan Province, which may be co-located with the Onjong-ni chemical weapons facility.
